EDITOR'S REVIEW
Absürt turns its small space on Hasnun Galip Sokak into a strength through warm personal contact. Somewhere between a bar and a modern meyhane, it serves cocktails, Turkish wine, beer and snacks in a narrow room while retaining the feel of a neighborhood regulars' spot.
Alternative pop, indie, rock and selected songs from different eras support conversation. Occasional acoustic or other live acts play close to the room. Most evenings use curated bar playlists, with small live gatherings scheduled by event rather than a fixed weekly program.
A narrow street-level entrance leads to a compact bar, shelves of bottles, warm light and closely placed tables and stools. A few seats outside connect the intimate room to Hasnun Galip's lively small-bar street scene.
An eclectic street bar pairing pub staples with Turkish wines, signature cocktails, coffee and sharing plates. Its small room makes it easy to talk with the staff and neighboring tables.
Adults who like small personal bars, wine and cocktails, and evenings built around conversation.
Comfortable, individual city style suits its bohemian character.
Absürt's orange typewriter and boxes of games are playful details in the brick-walled bar. Shelves behind the wooden counter are lit in yellow. Drinks made with lemon, mint and ice arrive in shades of green and yellow. It is a relaxed corner where you can settle onto a high stool and watch both the preparations and the décor's little surprises.
Absürt stands out as a small, cozy, and unpretentious bar in Taksim with a welcoming atmosphere. The friendly approach of the owner and staff, along with the beer, cocktails, food, and overall pricing, has received praise in many reviews. The limited space and cramped seating arrangement can compromise comfort during busy periods. Some visitors coming to watch broadcasts struggled to see the screen, noting inadequate sound and intermittent TV connectivity issues. Certain cocktails and dishes also fell short of expectations. It is a suitable spot for those seeking conversation, drinks, and a relaxed neighborhood bar vibe; however, it is advisable to check the view from your table beforehand if you are visiting for a specific broadcast.

HIGHLIGHTS
A friendly team, distinctive small room, cocktails and Turkish wines, a central yet tucked-away location, occasional acoustic shows and an easy setting for conversation.
NOTE
The indoor space is very small and there may be a step at the entrance. Visitors with limited mobility can call about access. A large group may need to split across nearby stools rather than share one table.
