Batard is regarded as a Bomonti establishment that combines gastronomy with the warmth of a neighbourhood bistro. Inventive dishes from the creative team behind Zula, a strong cocktail bar and a menu admired by critics such as Vedat Milor make for a stylish dining experience without formality.
WHO IT SUITS
For people who want to try distinctive chef-led dishes, socialise over cocktails after work or plan a romantic but relaxed dinner date. It appeals less to anyone whose priority is filling up on very large portions.
HIGHLIGHTS
The 4-inch pulled-beef burger, Sanayi Pilavı, burrata and Crocante Profiterol are counted among its signature dishes. The well-liked cocktail bar and the way its stylish setting retains the ease of a neighbourhood spot are further strengths.
NOTE
Because of its tasting and bistro approach, portions are considered smaller than at standard restaurants but more concentrated in flavour. Although there is ventilation, a faint food smell from the open kitchen can linger on clothing.
GETTING THERE
It is at Gökkuşağı Sokak No:15D in Cumhuriyet Mahallesi, Bomonti, where the street joins Silahşör Caddesi. It is roughly a 10–15-minute walk from M2 Osmanbey station's Bomonti exit. Drivers can use the indoor car parks around Bomontiada opposite the restaurant.
