EDITOR'S REVIEW
Beat Istanbul is an international nightclub in Beyoğlu spanning three floors and two stages, bringing different dance crowds together in one night. Guests can move between electronic music on the rooftop and R&B and hip-hop on the main floor. Its multilingual crowd and scale set it apart from the small bars around İstiklal.
The rooftop plays electronic music and melodic house, while the main floor focuses on R&B and hip-hop. Depending on the event, the programme also includes afro, amapiano, Latin and Arabic-Afro sets. Wednesdays feature afro and amapiano; Fridays and Saturdays bring R&B, hip-hop, electronic music and rooftop sets. Themed nights such as Afro Nation, Brazilian Vibes and Arabic-Afro appear periodically.
Two stages on three floors use distinct colours. Moving blue and purple lights and crowds near the BEAT wall mark the main floor, while electronic music defines the rooftop. Moving between the R&B/hip-hop floor and rooftop changes the rhythm, lighting and density.
A three-floor nightclub with two stages and separate zones for electronic music, R&B and hip-hop. Moving between floors brings different dance tastes into one international party.
Local and international young adults, Erasmus students and tourist groups, R&B and hip-hop listeners, afro and amapiano fans, and guests who want to try several dance floors in one night.
Smart casual nightclub clothes are recommended. Some parties may have an event-specific theme, such as white or elegant chic.
At Beat Istanbul, the DJ and the dancers are practically side by side. Framed portraits on the walls, exposed ceiling elements and geometric light patterns give this small space a character of its own. The crowd moves shoulder to shoulder to bass and rap vocals. That closeness is part of the venue's appeal, though the interior can feel a little cramped if you value your personal space.
Beat Istanbul wins the appreciation of many visitors thanks to its multi-floor layout featuring diverse music genres, Afro rhythms, a lively atmosphere, and relatively reasonable prices. Some patrons praise the attentive staff and enjoy the opportunity to dance freely and meet new people. Negative reviews criticize the condition of the restrooms, weekend crowds, issues with the cloakroom (such as delays or lost items), ticket refund processes, and entry requirements—specifically regarding couple status or mandatory bottle service. Some foreign visitors have reported feeling subjected to discriminatory treatment. It may be useful to check the entry policy, event density, and cloakroom procedures in advance.
