Berlin Platz Pub is regarded as a Kadıköy pub distinguished by its large, airy space, broad selection of craft beer on tap and in bottles, and industrial design. It offers a relaxed place to try different beers and talk without shouting.
WHO IT SUITS
For groups who want to try hard-to-find draught beers and talk at length with friends after work or school. It is not designed for dancing to electronic music or a romantic fine-dining meal. It also has room for people to read over coffee or work on a computer during the day, offering quieter hours spent alone as well as evening beer meet-ups.
HIGHLIGHTS
A fresh draught selection ranging from local craft producers such as Gara Guzu to imports such as Weihenstephaner is its main strength. An unusually large, airy upper-floor garden for Kadıköy is another significant advantage.
NOTE
The beer menu and snacks such as sausages are liked, while views on the quality of pizza and mixed plates such as the Berlin Plate differ. Flavoured cigarettes or cigars may not be permitted in the enclosed section because of their smell.
GETTING THERE
It is at Pavlonya Sokak No:22 on the Caferağa–Osmanağa border, near the old Rexx Cinema and Barlar Sokağı area. It is about a 5–10-minute walk from the Bull Statue or Kadıköy ferry piers through the market towards Moda.
