EDITOR'S REVIEW

Get to know the venue before you go

Biçare Meyhane is a new generation meyhane inside Kubist Park Residence in Beykent, where meze, rakı and Turkish food are accompanied by a DJ, darbuka and oriental dance. The night centers on table-side entertainment and celebrations rather than a quiet dinner. It offers groups around Beylikdüzü a way to spend a long evening out without traveling to central İstanbul.

Music & programme

The DJ plays current Turkish pop and meyhane songs that guests sing along to. Darbuka rhythms and oriental dance add live performances. DJ sets, darbuka and oriental dance take place seven days a week. Special occasions may bring an additional stage program or different menu. Ask about show start times when booking.

Atmosphere

Inside the enclosed meyhane room at Kubist Park, there are tables for large groups, a small performance area and aisles between the tables. When the DJ lights come up, the darbuka players and dancers move among the guests.

Concept

Biçare combines meyhane food and a rakı table with a DJ, darbuka, oriental dance and table-side entertainment in a neighborhood venue geared toward celebrations.

Guest profile

Friend groups and birthday parties from around Beykent and Beylikdüzü, couples and adults who want to dance and have fun in the same place after dinner.

Dress code

Comfortable but polished clothes suit a celebration dinner. Formal attire is unnecessary, though a considered evening outfit fits the setting.

Customer Review Summary

Biçare Meyhane appeals to groups of friends and special celebrations with its warm, dimly lit atmosphere, lively music, dance performances, and friendly staff. Almost all reviews praise the freshness, abundance, and deliciousness of the mezes, fish, and main courses, as well as the fast service, smiling staff, and reasonable prices. Cleanliness, security, and the clientele are also viewed positively. While the music selection is generally well-liked, some guests felt there was too much halay music or that the ventilation could be improved. Reports from a large engagement party mentioned issues such as spoiled meze, a cramped dance floor, a request for an extra tip for cake service, and communication problems when settling the bill. Overall, the picture is quite positive for small to medium-sized groups.

NOTE

Before your visit

Biçare is in unit No. 108/34 inside Kubist Park Residence; do not look for a separate meyhane storefront on Avrupa Avenue. The DJ, darbuka players and dancers move among the tables, so proximity to the stage affects both the volume and how involved guests feel.

GETTING THERE

Getting to the venue

Biçare Meyhane is at Kubist No. 34 on Avrupa Avenue in Adnan Kahveci. From the Beylikdüzü Metrobus line, take a Beykent-bound bus or minibus to Avrupa Avenue, then walk a short distance.
