Bosphorus Brewing Company is regarded as one of Istanbul's pioneers of craft beer culture. Among the Gayrettepe and Zincirlikuyu business centres, its English-pub setting brews its own beer and displays steel tanks behind glass, appealing to guests keen to try fresh and different beers.
WHO IT SUITS
For people who want to try different beers in tasting flights, have long conversations over pub food and relax after work. It is not arranged for an electronic party, a fasıl or a quiet, formal fine-dining meal.
HIGHLIGHTS
Signature beers brewed fresh on site, such as Istanbul Pale Ale, Haliç Gold and Bosphorus Ale, are its main strengths. The large green garden and authentic pub dishes such as bangers and mash and homemade burgers also stand out.
NOTE
Because of the artisanal brewing, prices are higher than in pubs selling standard commercial beer, at a premium level. The hum of conversation can grow noticeably during the after-work rush.
GETTING THERE
It is at Yıldız Posta Caddesi No:1 D:1A in Esentepe Mahallesi, near the Dedeman Hotel. It is approximately a 10–15-minute walk from M2 Gayrettepe or the Zincirlikuyu Metrobus stop. Drivers may need to use paid car parks in the parallel streets.
