EDITOR'S REVIEW
Gregor Jazz Club is a gastro-jazz venue inside Orientbank Hotel Istanbul, pairing live jazz with dinner and cocktails in a room close to the stage.
Traditional and contemporary jazz, swing, bebop, vocal jazz and acoustic blues. Performers and start times vary with the event calendar.
Brick colors, stained-glass windows, chandeliers and dim light complement the historic building, creating a calm listening atmosphere near the stage.
A sophisticated jazz room joining carefully chosen live performances with thoughtful cocktails inspired by the building's period and a quality dinner.
Jazz fans, couples, food enthusiasts and hotel guests who want to hear live music close to the stage.
The hotel's official dress code is casual; neat, comfortable clothing suits dinner and live jazz.
At Gregor Jazz Club, a large chandelier and small table lamps together create a gently subdued light. Dark curtains and wooden surfaces reinforce these warm tones. A double bass and piano sit beside the performer at the microphone. With the tables so close to the stage, you can easily shift your attention from one instrument to another.
Gregor Jazz Club is appreciated for its intimate, character-filled venue—located in the former vault section of the historic Orientbank building—as well as its talented musicians and warm service. The food, wines, and cocktails receive positive feedback, and gestures such as on-stage birthday announcements and cake presentations have delighted guests. Due to the venue's layout, the number of tables with a view of the stage is limited; seats located behind columns can make it difficult to watch the performance. The additional charges for drinks and music were considered high, and the food menu was viewed as limited. There are serious complaints regarding prepaid reservations not being honored and guests being told at the door that no tables were available. It is important to confirm the table location and reservation details prior to your visit.
