EDITOR'S REVIEW

Get to know the venue before you go

Hurdacı Gasthaus combines a collection of repurposed objects, the warmth of a neighborhood bar and a broad drinks selection in Mimaroba. Its characterful decor and personal service suit long conversations rather than a flashy club night.

Music & programme

Rock, pop rock and familiar international bar songs set the tone, lively enough for drinks and conversation at a table rather than a dance floor. The usual soundtrack is a curated playlist rather than a regular concert program; celebrations may bring more upbeat tracks.

Atmosphere

Dark wooden tables, metal parts, old signs and objects collected from different eras give the small room a layered workshop look. In winter, the wood burning stove becomes a warm, intimate focal point.

Concept

A local interpretation of a German beer house using industrial salvage, old objects and pub drinks. Beer, standard cocktails and bar plates are served indoors and outside.

Guest profile

Adults from Mimaroba and Batıköy, rock listeners, people dropping in after work, beer loving couples and friends who prefer to sit and talk at length.

Dress code

Relaxed everyday clothes suit the industrial pub setting: jeans, T shirts, sweatshirts, boots or sneakers. Layers are useful in colder months if you may move between outside and inside.

Customer Review Summary

Hurdacı Gasthaus Mimaroba offers a warm neighborhood atmosphere featuring dim lighting, a wood-burning stove in winter, resident cats, and an old-school bar vibe. The music, cocktails, extensive drink selection, and generally friendly staff are well-liked. It is a suitable place for chatting with friends or enjoying a quiet beer; reservations are recommended as it gets busy on weekends. A few reviews noted that prices are high compared to other local venues. Inadequate ventilation can cause discomfort, especially when the doors are closed. While service is generally fast, there are instances where orders are forgotten or staff are slow to attend to customers. The overall experience is positive; it is helpful to manage expectations regarding budget and crowd levels beforehand.
