EDITOR'S REVIEW
Kumsaati Blues Club is an intimate underground music bar in Beyoğlu’s backstreets, combining an informal setting with a live stage focused on blues and classic rock.
An established address for Istanbul blues and classic rock: local blues bands, experienced musicians and tribute groups play Chicago and Delta blues, funk and 1970s rock and roll. Weekdays tend to feature quieter or acoustic performances or DJ recordings; main live blues-rock acts play energetic Friday and Saturday programmes from around 22:00 or 22:30.
Nostalgic music posters, dim blue-red lights, a wooden bar and seats close to the stage make the little room a warm, bohemian concert setting.
An authentic underground live-blues bar and performance pub reminiscent of intimate New York and New Orleans neighbourhood bars, said to focus on pure live music and cold beer rather than showiness.
Regulars and music enthusiasts wishing to hear blues, classic rock and tribute acts at close range in a small room.
Comfortable everyday clothes suited to standing and moving about work well.
At Kum Saati Blues Club, looking at the walls is as absorbing as watching the stage. Portraits of musicians, colourful signs, lettering and small objects fill almost every corner. Guitar, bass, saxophone and drums come together in front of the blue and yellow décor. These abundant details in the dim light give a distinctive warmth to an evening spent close to the musicians.
Kum Saati Blues Club is a small, intimate, and smoke-free basement bar in Beyoğlu that offers the chance to experience live blues and rock bands up close. Regulars praise the quality of the music, the welcoming management, and the relaxed atmosphere; the venue's main draw is the regular lineup of diverse bands. The policy of requiring a drink order instead of an entrance fee is generally well-received, though some visitors find drink prices high. Criticisms include the venue's worn and neglected appearance, as well as instances of distorted sound and malfunctioning microphones. As the room is small, space can be limited on busy nights. Overall, the experience is positive for those seeking an authentic, unpretentious blues bar.

For blues and classic-rock listeners who want to hear local musicians or tribute bands up close in a small, informal Asmalımescit bar, particularly on the main Friday–Saturday live nights.
HIGHLIGHTS
A short distance between stage and audience, a programme maintaining its blues-rock focus and a central Asmalımescit location.
NOTE
Kum Saati is not a large hall with a concert every evening. Live blues-rock is concentrated mainly on Fridays and Saturdays around 22:00. The stage is very close to the tables and capacity is limited; those wishing to watch seated should check that week's band announcement and table layout beforehand.
GETTING THERE
On Jurnal Sokak, a three- to four-minute walk from Şişhane metro's İstiklal exit. Asmalımescit is closed to car traffic; drivers can use car parks around Tepebaşı.
