WHO IT SUITS
People wishing to stay for beer and conversation beneath the trees and those choosing to dance later in the night find different spaces at the same address. The back garden is more suitable for quieter conversation than seating near the street.
HIGHLIGHTS
Being able to retreat to a back garden in the middle of Kadife Sokak is Marcel's clearest advantage. Drinks prices considered reasonable and a dance program in the same building let friends continue their evening in different ways.
NOTE
The pub's announced hours are daily 14.00–03.00; since these can be confused with a 04.00 closing time and the Ters program, guests should ask which section is open late. Marcel Avant at Moda Caddesi 77/A is a separate restaurant; its breakfast and food menu should not be confused with this pub's.
GETTING THERE
Kadife Sokak No:33 is a 4–5-minute walk from Bahariye and Boğa Heykeli, and 8–10 minutes from the Kadıköy ferry piers and metro. From Marmaray, guests can transfer toward the center and reach the pedestrian street on foot.
