Mini Müzikhol is one of Istanbul's oldest underground clubs and has been a meeting place for electronic music lovers on the same apartment floor in Cihangir for years. Its small capacity, good sound system and carefully chosen DJs draw people who genuinely live for the music at night.
WHO IT SUITS
An excellent club for people whose main reasons for going out are dancing, listening to DJ sets and spending the night with electronic music. It does not suit those seeking a quiet bar to sit and talk at length; this is clearly a nightspot centred on music and dancing.
HIGHLIGHTS
It is one of the longest-established clubs in Istanbul's electronic music scene and has worked with good DJs and labels for years. Its small capacity creates an intimate, intense atmosphere wholly focused on music. In Cihangir, very close to Taksim, it has an underground character distinct from conventional large clubs.
NOTE
Mini Müzikhol's most distinctive feature is that it is almost invisible from outside: an unsigned club hidden on an apartment floor, in every sense a place for those in the know. Because capacity is small, crowds and heat build up inside on busy nights after entry. This contributes to the club's real energy and is something to be prepared for in advance.
GETTING THERE
Mini Müzikhol Cihangir is at Soğancı Sokak No:3. It can be reached on foot from Taksim Square or via Sıraselviler. The listed Google location link is useful for finding the entrance inside the apartment building.
