EDITOR'S REVIEW

Get to know the venue before you go

MSA’nın Restoranı pairs Bosphorus views on the Sakıp Sabancı Museum grounds with the Culinary Arts Academy's practical training. Students welcome guests, cook and serve under instructors' supervision, making it a working learning environment.

Music & programme

Light jazz, lounge and instrumental pieces stay quietly in the background so they do not interrupt conversation or dining. There are no live-music programmes or ticketed parties; the focus is on food, breakfast service and chef-prepared dishes.

Atmosphere

Wide windows facing the Sakıp Sabancı Museum garden, pale wooden furniture and terrace tables overlooking the Bosphorus create a bright, contemporary space. The historic Atlı Köşk setting meets an active service area where students work.

Concept

A training restaurant where MSA students practise cooking and service under instructors while serving a contemporary menu on a museum campus overlooking the Bosphorus. Service runs from breakfast through dinner.

Guest profile

Food enthusiasts interested in MSA's teaching model, people planning breakfast or a meal near the museum, and couples and families seeking a quiet restaurant with a Bosphorus view.

Dress code

Neat but comfortable clothes suit Emirgan and the museum. Clean trainers or city shoes work; avoid slippers and workout shorts.

Customer Review Summary

MSA’s Restaurant offers a special atmosphere—ranging from breakfast to dinner—thanks to its location within a grove, impressive views, and tranquil garden. While meat dishes, burgers, shrimp, croissants, and certain desserts are frequently praised, items such as pizza, toasted sandwiches, and breakfast platters receive more mixed reviews. Prices are generally high; satisfaction can be dampened by small portion sizes and the presence of add-ons that lack clearly listed prices on the menu. The service experience is inconsistent: while some find the staff polite and knowledgeable, others report slow service and a cold demeanor. Making a reservation and requesting a window-side table can ensure a more comfortable visit, especially on busy days.
