EDITOR'S REVIEW
Old Fort pairs the historic Anadolu Hisarı skyline and calm Göksu water with two experiences under one roof: a downstairs seafood restaurant and an upstairs beer-and-cocktail pub. It works from a breakfast with a view to dinner or a long bar visit.
Soft rock, pop, soul and light lounge keep conversation easy by Göksu in the evening. The upstairs pub is more rhythmic, though the view and table experience come first. Playlists change by time of day rather than a fixed concert schedule: gentle at breakfast, livelier pop-rock in pub hours.
Terrace tables close to the water overlook boats on Göksu and the walls of Anadolu Hisarı opposite. Inside are wooden surfaces, dark seats and warm lamps. Downstairs is quieter and more meal-focused; the airy upstairs pub has widely spaced tables for groups.
A multi-level, view-led venue on the Göksu waterfront with seafood restaurant, terrace and upstairs pub. Seafood and meze are joined by international dishes, draft beer and carefully made cocktails.
Families seeking a view on the Asian side, couples planning a quiet date, groups in the pub, breakfast guests, tourists on a Bosphorus route and small celebrations.
Comfortable seaside clothes fit breakfast; neat casual pieces suit dinner and cocktails. A light extra layer helps by the water on spring and autumn evenings.
Old Fort Restaurant And Pub enjoys a delightful location featuring a view of the Göksu stream, a quiet lower floor, and a menu that spans from breakfast to dinner. Fish, mezes, shrimp, and breakfast options receive praise in many reviews; the attentive service provided by certain staff members, in particular, generates high satisfaction. However, the service experience and pricing are inconsistent. Criticisms include varying seating conditions on the lower floor depending on the specific table, delayed orders, and rude communication. Multiple serious complaints mention issues such as the final bill exceeding menu prices, portion sizes being increased without prior approval, or unconsumed items being added to the tab. While the venue is appealing for its view, it is advisable to carefully monitor the order quantity and the bill from start to finish.

HIGHLIGHTS
Direct Göksu waterfront views with Anadolu Hisarı behind, separate restaurant and pub floors, menu from breakfast to late cocktails, terrace, valet and roomy group seating.
NOTE
The ground-floor seafood restaurant and upstairs pub have different menus, seating and views. Specify the floor rather than simply requesting a table at Old Fort. Terrace tables nearest Göksu fill quickly at sunset, and the waterside is cooler than indoors at night.
