EDITOR'S REVIEW
Get to know the venue before you go
Opened after Olden 1772 in Sirkeci, Olden 1545 Samatya occupies the restored Kapıağası Yakup Ağa Hamam, dated to 1545. In this roughly 500-year-old building, which Gemini describes as a work by Mimar Sinan, the architectural and aesthetic experience stands out alongside the food and drinks.

WHO IT SUITS
Is this venue right for you?
A good choice for couples and groups who want photographs in a historic setting, signature cocktails and a luxurious celebration of special moments such as anniversaries or proposals. It is not arranged for people seeking loud club entertainment.
HIGHLIGHTS
Highlights
The roughly 500-year-old hamam architecture, which Gemini attributes to Mimar Sinan, is its most striking feature. Combining the historic fabric with lighting, decoration and a modern kitchen gives the venue a distinctive identity.
NOTE
Before your visit
Bringing Olden 1772's concept to Samatya, it has upper-tier, premium prices reflecting the historic setting and luxury service. Plan your budget for that level.
GETTING THERE
Getting to the venue
It is at Orgeneral Abdurrahman Nafiz Gürman Caddesi No:74 in Kocamustafapaşa Mahallesi. The nearest Kocamustafapaşa station is on the U3/T6 Sirkeci–Kazlıçeşme line opened in 2024, not the main Marmaray line. Transfer from Marmaray via Sirkeci, Yenikapı or Kazlıçeşme and get off at Kocamustafapaşa, then follow the road inland from the coast toward Samatya Square for about 5 minutes on foot. Alternatively, take the BN1 bus along the coast in the Eminönü–Halkalı direction to Samatya and walk a short distance; public transport is practical given traffic and difficult parking on narrow streets.
