WHO IT SUITS
Is this venue right for you?
A good choice for people who want to hear one another easily over gentle Müzeyyen Senar or Zeki Müren songs, eat meze and sit at a calm rakı table. It is not designed for dancing or loud group singalongs.

Meyhanes
EDITOR'S REVIEW
Sarnıç Meyhane is regarded as a place that preserves a stone-walled, authentic setting and old-fashioned rakı-and-conversation culture. Its meze and calm acoustics make it a friendly, quieter option amid the bustle of Kadıköy Market.
WHO IT SUITS
A good choice for people who want to hear one another easily over gentle Müzeyyen Senar or Zeki Müren songs, eat meze and sit at a calm rakı table. It is not designed for dancing or loud group singalongs.
HIGHLIGHTS
Its warm, calm setting separated from outside crowds despite being in central Caferağa is its main advantage. Consistent meze, the historic feel of stone and an experienced, respectful service approach also stand out.
NOTE
The interior is small, with tables close together in old-fashioned meyhane style. Ordering à la carte instead of being required to take a fixed menu gives flexibility according to appetite and budget.
GETTING THERE
