Teachers at the entrance to Kadife Sokak is a pub whose more than twenty-year history has witnessed different periods of the neighborhood. Its wooden room, cold beer and friendships formed around the same bar keep a regulars' atmosphere alive.

WHO IT SUITS
A suitable address for people wanting beer in a wooden pub, older rock recordings or a live band. Nonalcoholic beer and nonalcoholic cocktails also give options to people joining the group without drinking alcohol.
HIGHLIGHTS
An easy-to-find location at the street entrance, a tradition of live performances and attentive service are Teachers' strengths. Solo visitors can blend into this regulars' setting as readily as tables of friends.
NOTE
Closing is generally at 03.00, and at 04.00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Live music increases indoor volume; outdoor tables may be more suitable for conversation. The entrance and parking area are not wheelchair accessible; cigarette smoke may be noticeable in the small enclosed space.
GETTING THERE
Kadife Sokak No:1B is approximately a 3–4-minute walk from Boğa Heykeli and Bahariye. The walk from the Kadıköy ferry piers and metro is 7–8 minutes; from Marmaray, guests can transfer into the center and continue.
