The Populist Bomontiada

DJ performances range across nostalgic and lively pop, rock, funk, R&B and indie remixes on weekday and weekend evenings. The calendar is updated monthly; Friday and Saturday DJ sets and occasional courtyard festivals, including listed Oktoberfest events, depend on the current official schedule.

The former brewery's high ceiling surrounds steel brewing tanks, a spiral stair, vintage pieces and a glasshouse like roof. A two level interior opens onto the Bomontiada courtyard terrace, linking dining tables and the DJ area in one industrial space.

The Populist Bomontiada is a favorite—especially for beer tasting—thanks to its historic factory atmosphere, spacious layout, and diverse craft beer selection. Patrons appreciate that each beer is served in the appropriate glass, as well as the availability of tasting flights and recommendations from knowledgeable staff. The pickles, wings, pizza, and various snacks are generally delicious, and DJ sets add energy to the ambiance. However, the venue can get very crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a table. The music volume sometimes hinders conversation, and cigarette smoke can accumulate in the enclosed garden area. Some visitors find the prices high and feel the added service charge requires explanation. While service is usually fast, there have been reports of significant delays when trying to switch tables.
