Zümrüt Sahnesi is regarded as a long-standing venue continuing Yakacık's tea-garden and gazino tradition in the area known as the 'Balcony of Istanbul'. It offers a large-capacity option for guests who want sea views, abundant music, generous portions and the friendly nostalgia of a family gazino.
WHO IT SUITS
Suitable for people who want to listen to fasıl over rakı and meze with a view, enjoy an old-style gazino with family, or hold a wedding or henna night in a large hall. It is not designed for electronic music, a modern pub or very luxurious fine dining.
HIGHLIGHTS
The panoramic view of the Sea of Marmara and the Islands from Yakacık Hill is its clearest advantage. Its large capacity, suitability for group events such as matinees, weddings and iftars, and long-established name also stand out.
NOTE
It often hosts private events closed to outside guests, including weddings, henna nights and circumcision celebrations. Before planning an individual dinner or live-music visit, phone to confirm whether the evening is reserved for a private event.
GETTING THERE
It is at Şekersuyu Sokak No:16 in Yakacık Çarşı Mahallesi. From central Kartal, Pendik or the metro area, take a Yakacık minibus or İETT bus to Yakacık Meydanı and walk a short distance. By car, climb the hill from the D100 Kartal–Yakacık, or Adnan Kahveci Bridge, exit; finding parking on the narrow streets can take time during weekend events.
