EDITOR'S REVIEW
Solera Winery is an established Beyoğlu wine bar devoted to a wide selection from Turkish producers, paired with meze, small plates and guided tastings. The evening revolves around discovery, conversation and wine rather than loud entertainment.
Jazz, soul, acoustic music and selected pop stay low enough for tasting and long conversations. There is no fixed live music or DJ program.
Bottle shelves, warm colors and closely arranged seating give the small interior the intimacy of a characterful wine house. It gets busier on crowded evenings but remains conversation oriented.
A wine shop and intimate bar in one: try different Turkish grapes by the glass and ask staff for recommendations based on your taste. Cheese, cured meats, meze and hot plates complete the menu; tastings take place periodically.
People exploring Turkish wines, international visitors, couples planning a quiet date, small groups, and guests seeking guidance on pairings or tastings.
Casual or smart casual is suitable; there is no strict dress code. Comfortable, neat city clothes work for an evening around Galatasaray and Tomtom.
Solera Winery is a wine bar that stands out for its knowledgeable staff and the opportunity to sample local wines by the glass in a small, cozy setting. Wine recommendations and tasting guidance are frequently praised; prices are generally reasonable, and the music volume is considered suitable for conversation. While the cheese and charcuterie platters and some main courses are delicious, the menu selection is limited, and portions can be small. The venue's cramped layout and the discomfort caused by the pouf seating during long visits are recurring complaints. Although the service is generally friendly, a few communication issues have been reported. There is one serious report regarding the hygiene of the sangria, though this does not reflect the general consensus.

HIGHLIGHTS
Focus on Turkish wines, tasting by the glass, accompanying plates and a small room in Tomtom.
NOTE
This is not a loud nightclub. It belongs on a nightlife guide as a place for tastings, social gatherings and late bar visits.
GETTING THERE
From Şişhane metro and Tünel, or from Taksim, walk along İstiklal Caddesi to Galatasaray and turn onto Yeni Çarşı Caddesi. Tomtom has steep streets and limited parking, so metro and walking are easier.
